Nackgammon/Rules/Thoughts ?

Even with the small amount of nackgammon I've played (the nightly Nackblitzes on GridGammon), it's obvious to me that it's a better game generally, and it's a pity that the historical starting position of regular backgammon wasn't more like that of nackgammon. Yes, sometimes the game quickly becomes a holding game or other more mundane game type common to regular backgammon, but you will find that you get many more complex games than usual. Play a few more games of nack to verify this for yourself - you were probably just unlucky in that respect with the small sample size of games you played so far. I would certainly like to see more nackgammon as regular side events at tournaments.
