I don't know how serious your audience is about backgammon but my experience in dealing with players who are interested in bettering their game (but not to the point that they get XG) is that a bunch of numbers is intimidating/confusing/annoying. I play 11-point matches with a friend on Dailygammon who doesn't have XG. When we finish a match I analyze it and save it and then, as we play the next match, I go through each one of his errors, one error per turn we play, and tell him what the best move is and (most im portantly) why to the best of my ability. He is not interested in the difference in equity of plays. He just wants to know what his errors were and how big they were. Maybe that's just me however. Lots of numbers make me nervous. Unless they're on my paycheck.
