White's timing is suspect. White can play 8/2 8/7 and keep his anchor, however his stripped midpoint doesn't leave much room to move constructively from then on.

The blot I see on brown's 1pt sways me to try 22/16 8/7. If brown attacks the 16pt the blot on his ace is a liability and if white can somehow make the 16pt his position improves a lot.
