Since the dice are white, and on the left-hand side of the board, I assume it is White to move.

I would slot with the 6, playing 10/4. The deuce could be played 8/6 or 24/22 and I'm not sure which is better. 8/6 gives more ways to cover the slot. However, I think I slightly prefer 24/22. Since this doesn't seem to give White more escaping numbers it might seem pointless, but Black has a lot of rolls that make his 5pt using a checker from his 8pt or 9pt, and by stepping up, White makes those rolls much less attractive to Black. Also, if White's slot is hit, White will prefer to anchor on the 22pt than on the 24pt.

QF suggests that it's not the same play at all scores but I don't understand the decision well enough to vary it according to the score.
