Best play ATS and for DMP?

I'd hit twice ATS to win more gammons. At DMP I think that hitting twice just gives White a better ace-point game. It's tempting not to hit at all, but if we play 24/18 7/6 or 24/18 3/2 then White has a chance to hit us and counterprime. So I'm inclined to play 24/17* at DMP. White could dance a long time and cause us trouble but I think that that's less risky than giving White an immediate chance to send us back.
