This position came up for me tonight online. I realise the decision in equity terms is virtually 'who cares', however the annoyance factor of getting it wrong and losing the match due to some late hit from the wrong move can be quite out of proportion to the move itself. That is true for me anyway.

I won't say anything bad happened to me after I played, however what is right?
