Small technical play

there is no value in getting a gammon, so bring it home safely.
5/4 5/2 leaves you vulnerable to a roll of 54 or 64 on your next roll, 4 shots in 36.
4/off creates no vulnerability on your next roll.
However, the risks increase beyond this exchange, and I suspect clearing the 5 pt. is the priority here. 5/4 5/2 give the opponent 11 hitting chances in 324 games. The chances of getting hit are about 1/30. I would guess that is an acceptible risk for the opportunity to clear your 5pt on your next roll. Further, playing forward, rather than playing off, gives additional flexibility for a few exchanges. I'll guess that 5/4 5/2 is the correct play here?
