Martin's position (originally posted here, retro-sequenced by Mike here, and repeated above) can be reached in one fewer roll (with both sides still well-played), by economizing on a White tempo. The caption above lists one such sequence.
Not all transpositions work, but Blue's plays can be 43D, 65P and 61P, or 54D, 54P and 61P. White's plays can be 64R, 54P and 31P, or 63R, 64P and 31P. Also maybe 54D-64S(?)-54P-54S-61P-31P-22.

Message to Mike Mannon: Some weeks ago, I attempted to e-mail you a few times regarding this thread and for a couple of other reasons, but received no response (nor did any messages seem to bounce). Has your e-mail address changed? (Please respond here as well as by e-mail in case something has happened to the connection between our servers.)
