No, I didn't. But as far as I remember Bob Koca did and it turned out to be not much better than XGR+/XGR+. One interesting observation from that test was that changing search interval for 4-ply checker play did not produce any difference whatsoever. This leads me to believe that 4-ply checker play is not much better than 3-ply checker play for backgames; you really need to step up to XGR+.
