1. Leaving the direct shot is a little riskier now because the 6-duplication has been weakened and a 9pt builder is a more potent attacker than the 11pt builder. Still, I'd go for the 5pt, at least ATS. Less sure about money.

2. White's position is much better now; she's not in as much danger of crunching and 2's aren't duplicated to hit and escape. I would take as White. Less sure about the double but I think I would double in practice.

3. Hmmm...I guess this means that we were supposed to play 15/6 in the original position? Oops. 21/15 13/10.

4. This looks close between clearing the 9pt and the 7pt because clearing the 7pt stacks up awkwardly on the 3pt. I'll try clearing the 9pt.

5. 13/6 looks natural here. Of all five positions, I think this one is the least spoilery. I'm thinking I probably screwed up the original problem but I can't tell for sure from this variant.
