I meant to comment about number #2 in Stick's position before now. Stick shifted the White checker from the 18pt to the 16pt and made a huge difference in the Double/NoDouble decision (that was probably Stick's intention in his counter example ;)

The duplicated 2's are the issue and here they make a big difference.
