Play off the seven with 7/1 7/2 or play off the eight and six with 8/2 6/1?

The latter keeps the blockade which seems worthwhile; I'm, not seeing the advantage of clearing the seven point at this juncture. Maybe it makes for fewer shots later, but that's not high on my agenda.
