XG mobile for Android 4.1

I was planning to buy the app. I first installed the free version, but it works a few minutes and then disappears. I can only play 1-2 moves on it. Can someone explain. If it happens with the demo version only, OK. But if there is some other problem I need it solved first. Can I use it to record/transcribe a live a match?
