OT Spurrier's genius not on display!

Steve Spurrier's South Carolina Gamecocks led Missouri 19-7 after getting a TD with 7 minutes remaining in the game. Then he made the incredible decision to kick the extra point, giving USC a chance to win in overtime if Missouri were able to manage three unanswered drives resulting in two field goals and a TD, in the last 7 minutes. He should have protected against Missouri scoring two td's, obviously.

He said his defense was playing so well he did not think it mattered. He admitted he erred.

I have seen it happen in backgammon many times where one player is in complete control of a game and makes a sloppy play that leads to a loss. Spurrier is known to be a football genius. He should never make such an error.
