Revision of Rule 4

Note that the second notation is 'parallel' in the sense that both checkers do start together and end up on the same point, though the moves are not equal since one hit and one didn't.
Ok, I've updated the source code here to fix this. As Ian points out, the definition parallel move (that "two moves begin and end on the same point") already captures this idea. (Nothing says that the internal point numbers have to be the same.) But here is a clarification to emphasize that Rule 4 applies even if there is an intermediate hit.
- Combine parallel moves. When two moves begin and end on the same point, they may be combined into one move. Add a number in parentheses after the move indicating the number of checkers that move together.
24/18, 24/18, 13/7, 13/7 → 24/18(2), 13/7(2)
6/5, 6/5, 6/5, 4/3 → 6/5(3), 4/3
2/off, 2/off, 2/off, 1/off → 2/off(3), 1/off
6/5, 6/5, 6/5, 6/5 → 6/5(4)
7/1*, 7/1 → 7/1*(2)
This rule applies even if there is an intermediate hit.
7/4*/1, 7/1 → 7/4*/1(2)
Thanks Grant, Ian, and Mike.
