Suggested Idea for Performance Grading

Well it has been amusing to discuss it, in a sort of counting angels on the head of a pin way. (By the way, the answer to THAT one is 42.) But it does raise the question that Phil asked about implementing it. What exactly are the parameters? If you reach GM status and then play a couple lousy matches do you go down or once you're a GM (or whatever) you're always a GM? And who is going to record all these matches? So far we've been transcribing the streamed matches only, haven't we? Do we record and transcribe all the matches in every tournament? All the Open ones only? All the contenders' ones only? And who decides who a contender is? Anyway, these are all rhetorical questions but they (and many others) would have to be answered at some point I should think.
