I think that 20 tournaments with mimimum 32 players are enough. Of course if tournaments are to 3 losses, to 2 losses with LC or it is single elimination with Consolation and LC. Therefore you can play calmly 100+ matches from life play. Also in this case there is another big factor- condition of players in different time (not only his or her condition in one tournament). Of course it can takes 5-15 years, but will be more fair.
