I think you are confusing how early you can cube or recube (i.e. where the bottom end of the cube or recube window is in GWC, which is normally earlier for the trailer) with the efficiency of that cube or recube you are considering. Cube efficiency is a measure of how far up the cubing window you are when you do cube.
