I'm taking away from this that you don't understand the original position in full period, not just due to the score. Remove the score from the equation and go play it out 100x for money as the person doubling. I know you were the taker/dropper in the actual game but that side is easy to play and you won't feel the sting of all the times things go wrong trying to bring this home. After you play it out time and time and time again you will see how awkward it is trying to bring this home with a 3pt that's likely never to get made and an ugly half dead spare distribution.
