Japan Open hits record high attendance

Hi all,

The day 1 of Japan Open is just finished and I am happy to announce that we had a record high attendance !

After the day 1 we have;
Championship 65+8 players
Intermediate 8 blitz (8 players each) - and we have another 8 today!
Beginner 48 players - and we have day 2 and day 3 !

I don't have exact count but I think there was about 200 people (unique number, altogether) in the tournament room yesterday.

Part of the reason is we have so many US players. (Phil Simborg, Dan Simbog, Carter Mattig, Jake Jacobs, MCG, Patrick Gibson, Douglas Mayfield, Tuvya Felt, Eric Petersen, David Wells, Roberto Litzenberger, Gary Bauer!) Thank you very much!

The first match will be Matt Cohn-Geirer vs Kiyokazu Nishikawa, starting at 10:00AM in Japan, 21:00 in US, 2:00AM in London. Kiyokazu Nishikawa is challenging PR4.0 and this will be his 10th match.
