Rolling Rules

A player shakes the dice, and, then turns his cup up side down and drops the dice with some force to the playing surface (board).

  1. Were the dice shaken vigorously?
  2. Did the dice leave the cup together? (At worst, the second die left the cup while the first die was still in the air.)
  3. Was the height sufficient to allow the dice to bounce and roll freely?

The last one is probably the most important. You can't just turn the cup over half an inch above the board and let the dice plop out. The toss (or drop) must impart sufficient force on the dice that the dice tumble around after landing. That would require a height of at least a few inches I would think.

If these rules are all followed, I would say the roll is legal.
