Two different game plans: build the board (6/3) and catch a checker later when Black is running home, or send back two (20/18* 13/12*), catch up (more than) completely in the race immediately, and get further ahead in the race when Black is running one of this (then) 4 back checkers into the outfield.

The problem with the first approach is that Black might not blot, that we might not hit shots left, and that we remain outboarded, making it difficult to attach successfully. Any return hit along the way will hurt a lot.

I'd hit two. if we don't get return hit (12 rolls hit from the bar) and can successfully consolidate our many blots, we will sit on a good advantage and can close in on a good double. Plus we have a good practical double if Black flunks with both checkers.
