Merit Park&Casino Cyprus tournament

I just came back from the Cyprus tournament. As expected it turned out to be the best and biggest tournament of the year, boasting 235 players in the main event. I don't know how many entered the intermediate, perhaps 70?. I believe that players from more than 30 countries participated.

Despite the huge attendance, everything went on schedule, even if there was no clock obligation. There was clock preference but few players used a clock. No real rules incidents that I was aware of.

Arda and Marco really put on a great tournament, and noting the hotel bargain and the 30K€ added, it really was an easy take to participate.

Finally, I'd like to mention that sadly Ion Ressu was killed in a car accident during the tournament.
