I presume this is routine stuff for most experts who've studied MET's.

Over 35 years ago I won a bet after cubing this position when up 5-4 to 7. After I rolled a large number to win the match, my opp was a bit frosted that I'd cubed with only 17 winning rolls.

He was good enough to know that I was a 17-19 dog and as a math teacher smart enough to understand that I was risking 20 (low G rate in MET's then) to gain 25.

AtS here you can double with 8 pips as long as your checkers are on different points.
