My ideas on the fly:

  • Position 1:
    • 6 checkers are stacked on the midpoint. Thus, I feel inclined to make the hitting play 13/5*. This doesn't only unstack the midpoint, but also slots the important 5-point.
  • Position 2:
    • This position is easier than position 1, I think. To me, the most reasonable play is 8/3 6/3 which helps catching up with regard to the development of the home. The safe play 14/6 seems to be too stiff and unflexible even if we are leading the pipcount.
