The five is forced. Then it's a question of whether to hit with the ace or slot the next open point. The gap will be a liability for a long time so slotting it make some sense; aces are duplicated, but that still leaves 11 shots. Pay now or pay later? I'm not convinced that the danger of the gap is more of a liability than exposing 11 shots now instead of 4. QF says otherwise, but I'll make the normal looking play.

I don't see the value in a shuffling play like 8/3 5/4.
