I've run into similar positions a few times recently. Each time the correct play involves a double hit inner board, every other play is a blunder, yet the correct play didn't even make my candidate list of plays.

I think the fact that I'm out-boarded is the main factor causing me to subconsciously reject the best play before even considering it...are there some general guidelines for these types of positions?
