I don't want to give up the anchor, and I don't want to dump checkers on the 1pt. On this second point, I may have to be flexible.

I’ll start by making the 3pt. Now I have to choose: dump a blot on the ace point or break the 11pt outside for no good purpose except to put a fifth checker on the 6pt. A late candidate is to break the midpoint with the last die. That would leave a direct shot, but at least all our checkers would be in play in front of the Dillies’ last runner.

This is tough choice. If something like 21/16(2) 6/1(2) turns out to best, I will learn something. In the meantime, I will play...
