Bending the rules is EV+, so every winning player should do it!

I figured this is something Jason and Phil would respond to but maybe they got sidetracked by your earlier opinions.

As we've said for eons now, backgammon isn't a game/sport with live officiating. It is up to each player to monitor his own as well as his opponent's actions. That's part of the code of ethics we've been pushing for a few years now. And fortunately 99% of tournament players I've competed against in the US and Europe follow this. There is no room in backgammon for "bending the rules".
