Fully agree, just don't agree that you should be able to "earn" an easier route to the money in tournaments (except for, again, your skill advantage in the matches you play).

On a side note, should seeding become popular, I think it's a better idea to have objective criteria than to go by someone's opinion. That way many arguments will be avoided.

But honestly, I don't feel too strongly about this whole thing, and I am not sure what I would personally benefit from most, seen over my entire coming backgammon career :) Basically my point is just the same as Neil's.
