suppose we play 4/off, and our opponent maintains their anchor on our one pt. On our next turn....a roll of 65 forces us to leave 2 blots. 63, 54, 52, 43, 32 force a blot. And things could continute to get uglier as we bear off.

we have a 73 pip lead, our opponent now has a 4 pt board, and control of the outfield. We have a checker off right now, so we cannot get gammoned. Our opponent holds the cube at 2 and is drooling for the chance to redouble.
