Continuous - what I meant

You say that matches need to be "continuous or pre-designated".

To my understanding it is both sufficient and necessary that matches are pre-designated (whether they are continuous or not).

To my understanding it is neither sufficient nor necessary that matches are continuous (i.e. played in succession).

That is why I don't understand why the "continuous or" part is necessary.
