I disagree. It's one thing to remind an opponent that he's obviously forgotten to press his clock after obviously completing his move (which I think is good sportsmanship - I did it quite happily after almost every move in the UK Open against a player who had never played with clocks before), but reminding an opponent that they are low on time is quite another. One has to draw the line somewhere, and this type of reminding would often be more of a hindrance than a help. Players in a clocked match know they have to manage their time, and this should be left to the individual alone. Players who are low on time almost always know they are low on time anyway. Having said that, and since I would hate to win on time, I like the idea of a clock beeping when it gets down to, say, one minute.
