Quoting Maurice:
I chose this book because there are no known copies in any library worldwide, and I think there should be. It has a diagram of a doubling cube, and discusses other scoring systems. I feel it is very important to backgammon history. The only way to view the book at present is from the microfilm at the Library of Congress, which does not do the book justice. The spots and scratches in the microfilm will be deleted, and the print techniques I am using are using acid free paper, with a Smythe stitched binding, because of this, the spine will not crack when the book is opened. I don't know if I would term the book as "fun" but I did find it interesting. The print run is limited to 250 hardbound copies, so very few people will own copies. The book has the potential to gain in value both for book collectors and for backgammon people. I took on this project, because of the historical significance of the book, and the very fact that no one else has a copy. Library of Congress destroyed the original after they microfilmed it.
