USBGF Board of Directors Election Results

The USBGF Board of Directors is pleased to announce the results of the Board of Directors election. We had 149 votes. The Board is ecstatic with the high level of interest and the considerable participation exhibited by the membership participation. We have promised a more open, transparent, inclusive, and democratic process. We think we have provided that and the membership has responded most favorably.
The results are:
Art Benjamin 131 votes 87.9%;
Joe Russell 121 votes 81.2%;
Julius High 112 votes 75.2%;
Michelle Steinberg 104 votes 69.8%;
Perry Gartner 76 votes 51.0%
In accordance with the By-Laws, by virtue of being named on at least 50% of the ballots cast, Art Benjamin, Joe Russell, Julius High, and Michelle Steinberg have been elected to the Board for three year terms. These four will join Karen Davis, Patrick Gibson, Rich Munitz, Steve Mellen, Justin Nunez, Bill Riles, Tara Mendicino, Neil Kazaross, and Dorn Bishop to comprise the USBGF Board of Directors.
We thank retiring Board members Alfred Mamlet and Jeb Horton for their years of service to the USBGF -- though no longer on the Board, they each have expressed a willingness to contribute their service and experience to the USBGF. We congratulate Art and Joe on their re-election to the Board. We welcome Julius and Michelle to the Board. We thank Perry for the years of valuable service he has provided the UBSGF.
We appreciate the willingness to serve the USBGF demonstrated by all of the candidates. Successful or not, each of them have the skills and the desire to serve that are valuable to the USBGF. We hope each will continue to contribute.
