41 make the 8-point

61 make the barpoint

65 make the 8-point + 24/18

The 8- or barpoint is a good blocking asset and it serves as a landing point.

Playing the back checkers is not so very important at the moment, so blue can wait with developing.

But as seen in the 65- variation, the splitting contact is not bad either, a loose hit on the bar is risky for white.
