In Response To: Backgammon more of a "game of skill" now than in the past? (Timothy Chow)

It looks like people are tripping over my choice of words. I'm not asking about whether the outcome of a match depends on luck or skill. Note that I did not use the word "luck" in my previous post.

I'll try a slightly different tack. What percentage of backgammon games do you think are currently played in casinos or chouettes today, versus in tournaments? Has that percentage changed over time? If so, why?
