Correct, I know when I will be able to figure out the right play and when I won't.

This is one of those positions where I just wouldn't be able to figure out the correct play, even if I went through all rolls. So why bother to waste time if it doesn't increase my chances of finding the correct play.

I try to only spend time if it increases my chances of finding the correct play, regardless if it is at a crucial point in the match or not.

Using this approach also preserves my energy which can then better be applied when it is needed and it also ensures I never run into time problems.
