This is a nice exercise; thank you for posting it.

When having a massive holding game (with two or even more anchors), I tend to get stuck into maintaining the anchors much too long. For this reason, I would like to shift the anchor from the 21-point to the 16-point: 21/16(2).
The second half of the roll is more difficult to play. 8/3*(2) looks like the most "natural" play, but it disregards the aspect of connectivity: Blue would have 8 checkers in his home whereas 7 checkers would be tied up on three points on the other side of the board. Therefore, I consider 16/6 to be interesting. Although this play neither hits nor makes a new point, the resulting distribution of checkers looks good, since the checkers are well connected to each other. So, I like 21/16(2) 16/6 very much.
