No, I don't think that the hit is too aggressive even at this score. Moreover, not hitting the blot on the 2-point could be very dangerous, since White has established a threatening position on her side of the board. If you (Blue) play b/20 7/5, you will weaken your own position on your side of the board, and White will do everything to hit your blot on the 20-point: 1's, 2's, 7's, and 8's will hit your blot on the 20-point, a total of 25.
If you play b/23 7/2*, you will gain a worthful tempo and start a promising attack on your side of the board that might cost her much tempo which you can use to escape with your backcheckers. It's a kind of "pre-emptive" attack.
