That 1998 auction was amazing! Some of the moneyed bidders seemed more interested in having a good time than making money, doing silly stuff like bidding up everyone simultaneously except their pals. The day off between tournaments was a nice chance to sight-see, although the temperature that week reached about 110 at one point.

Jake, who was the auctioneer -- was it John?
