Yes, as ah_clem points out, this is a hit or be hit position.

Your point on how right it often is to hit with a three point board is one that I have noticed myself lately in studying a variety of positions. Even in situations more dangerous than this, when one is tempted to shy away from a hit, since 'there are too many return shots and I only have a three point board' it is often right to hit, and right by a lot.
