White has to move too before blue is up again. If blue quietly makes the 11 and unstacks the 6, then white has some awkward numbers too which don't rescue the blot or anchor up.

If white does well to anchor, then blue can play safely in the home board. If white runs the checker on 18, then blue can play from the 11 point.

I prefer to play quietly and not play into the hands of white by spreading blots when outboarded in an even race. It would be a shame to lose the race equity.
