Play from Here (PFH) - Containment

A student of mine recently emailed me this position and deemed it 'Mishagammon'. Oddly enough, I have played it out before in the past. I set it to dmp and play the side with 15 checkers. My version I would win the opening roll, doubles permitted or not, dealer's choice. I think he was suggesting it as a backgammon variant where we have an opening roll, just like regular backgammon, and play from there ignoring gammons but we could still use the cube.

In a day or two I'll report back with my hand rollouts and XG rollout. I think if you play it out you will learn some interesting things.
