OT: Gin Rummy, two questions.

Hi,
we are playing Gin at home.
First question. Is there an existing official rule, like the backgammon rules for match play on tournaments?
Second question.
We are playing at home with following rules:
First dealer is the low card, deals 11/10, high card discards.
Every following game, winner deals, looser is discarding.
Oklahoma. Discard destines knocking. Ace must gin, discarding a spade doubles the round score.
Gin 25 points.
Double Gin 50 points (melding all cards , no discard).
Undercut 25 points.
Game ends at 100 points. We are playing sudden death, best of three, five and so on.
Playing for the dish washing is usually sudden death. :-)
In my opinion, this rules allows the trailer to throw a hail mary, discarding a spade. Also, if you are loosing a round, you start the next game and you can take a little bet on your hand, destining the value of the knock, therefore even out the previous lost a little bit.
With this rules, is the luck factor higher?
Thanks in advance.
