Why does World Class Analysis take longer than XGR+?

My guess is that the way XGR(+,++) work is that first a 3-ply evaluation is applied, this is called the move filter. If one move is clearly best, then there is no need to reapply XGR+ to several contending moves. If you check the match analysis move by move you should see quite a few moves evaluated at 3-ply only. Since 4-ply is about 10 times slower than 3-ply, this could explain the time difference.
