It’s hard to tell where the home board is in the diagram above, and yet, in a perfectly-played sequence, I have made only four moves. For my fifth, I am just about to trade my 6pt for the 4pt, and wind up with a home board where I own the 1pt and 4pt and nothing else! The diagram below shows the position after making that move. I have seen lots of middle game positions where one switches from the 6pt to the 5pt, but this is a rare early game position where the switch is made to the 4pt. And just think, I managed all this in only five moves.
