Making the full prime means white will have to crunch her board with most 4s and 3s. (41, 42, 43, 31, 32, 44, 33) or be forced to leap out and leave a couple of blots.

Making the four point, while worthy, doesn't really address blue's fundamental problem which is that he's stuck behind a five prime. By counter-priming, he forces white to crack 13/36 of the time (22 also forces a crunch).
