It is important to know common 3rd roll plays and/or to be able to figure them out and at least get very close to the best play. Everyone plays 31P and then 52S is the correct and now common response so it is nice to know how to play from here.

Of course we attack 6/3x(2) and then continuing to prepare to the attack with 13/10(2) is much better than anchoring up on the 21 pt. Our opps have little offensive threat and with 13/10(2) we add 2 new checkers to the attack zone and make a pt 6 pts away our open 4 pt. If we passively anchor, we will often lack the checkers required to keep our opps from establishing a playable situation on our side since we then have only 8 checkers in the zone.

After making the 10 pt, we will be strongly considering cubing after many of our opp's rolls.

6/3x(2) 13/10(2) is very clear.
