There are a few issues with San Antonio that made it more jammed up than a typical ABT weekend. 1) More players, which means an extra round must be played.

Hope I'm not beating a dead horse (oh, and I hope the ASPCA doesn't read any of this thread). From what I know, San Antonio has now joined Las Vegas and Michigan as the largest ABT events, particularly the size of the open field. These other two have multiple day mains (multiple as in more than 2 days). Chicago Open (Memorial Day weekend) and Charlotte (Labor Day weekend) also have multi-day mains.

And I know Bill and Tara have been reading and listening intently. (Note they didn't have a Calcutta Auction, and I'm sure that wasn't based simply on their own personal opinions of that activity.) Whether or not the Last Chance needs to go the way of the dinosaur should not be strongly correlated to the experiences of one tournament.
